Science Prizes

Innovation has been a driving force within Oxford Instruments since Sir Martin Wood founded the company over 50 years ago. We actively support and encourage innovation in all forms, both within Oxford Instruments and externally. We are proud to sponsor three Science Prizes to recognise the achievements of young scientists around the world:

  • Sir Martin Wood Prize: A prize for young scientists who have made an outstanding achievement in condensed matter science in Japan.
  • Lee Osheroff Richardson Prize: A prize for young scientists conducting research employing low temperature and/or high magnetic fields in North America.
  • Nicholas Kurti Science Prize: A prize for young scientists conducting research employing low temperature and/ or high magnetic fields in Europe.
